Charles Schwartz has a daughter who is in college. She has a wall-sized American flag in her room. Lately she told Charles she hates that flag, she hates America. He took the flag away and now he has room in his apartment to hang a new painting. He bought my "Vermeer Red Sox." (George Deem, unpublished diary entry, 1981).
