| WorkMars Violet Mars Violet I'd often heard of Mars Violet, but never experienced it until recently. Mars Violet is not used in America as much as it is in Europe. An American painter who studies in Europe studies Mars Violet. Jay Milder uses Mars Red. Richard Estes uses Cadmium Red Purple instead. Think of Picabia and you will get to Mars Violet. It's a color which looks serious and, at first use, one finds the difference between the Red Ochers, the Burnt Siennas, and the Venetian Reds.
