Alternate Title: A Farmer (Indiana Farmer). Originally one of the 12 component paintings in the assemblage Ronald Vance and Others (1969). In that work it had the title "American Farmer." George Deem later retitled the painting "Indiana Farmer" and he referred to it as a likeness of his cousin Edward Ottensmeyer, known in the family as "Bud" and as "The Great Otts."
