It's interesting that the mirror comes in when I work with Picasso -- and a collage technique. In
Girl Before a Mirror (1977) I attached gilt cardboard stripping to make the frame within the picture, & in
Vermeer Painting with Picasso's Mirror(original title later changed by the artist to
Picasso's Mirror) I used a blue plexiglass mirror. (George Deem, letter to Udo Klutermann, October 29, 1980)
