From 1970 to 1977 while living in Cortona George Deem worked with centimeters, not inches.The original metric size probably was 45 X 40 cm.The work was photographed in New York. The artist recorded the size on the 35 mm slide as 18 X 16 inches. 45 X 40 cm = 17.7 X 15.7 inches.
