My version of Vermeer'sGirl in a Red Hat(National Gallery Washington D.C.) was also painted in 1963. (The 1963 painting) is oil on canvas with a rather large white border painted all around the Vermeer image. This picture also was in my February 1964 exhibition at Allan Stone's. (George Deem, letter to Udo Kultermann, August 3, 1976). (The exhibition at the Allan Stone Gallery, New York was from October 22 thru November 9, 1963, not in February 1964.
